Monocrystalline solar panels
Also popular as single-crystal panels, they are made from a single silicon crystal, which also gives them their black color. The pure silicon crystal makes them the most space-efficient and the longest lasting. However, they are also the most expensive.
Thin-film solar panels
These panels are very lightweight due to their fine thin-film covering. This covering removes the need for a frame and makes them very variable in size to suit specific needs.
There are three types of thin-film solar panels
● Cadmium telluride (CdTe)
● Amorphous silicon (a-Si)
● Copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS)
Polycrystalline solar panels
Multiple silicon crystals are melted to produce this type of panel. This makes these solar panels much cheaper but less energy effective. They also have lower heat tolerance.

Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) panels
PERC solar panels are considered an upgrade to the two above due to the preservation layer added to the rear surface of the cell.
The layer is used to reflect light back into the cell, reduce the tendency of the electrons to recombine, and allow greater wavelengths to be reflected, increasing the panel's efficiency in all three cases.
Solar Panel Installation
Snow White Electricians is a certified solar panel installer (повече информация за сертификата, който притежават).
Solar Panel installation
SW Electricians follows the standard procedure to install solar panels. It is the same for both domestic and commercial solar panels.
- Set Up Scaffolding
- Install Solar Panel Mounts
- Install the Solar Panels
- Wire the Solar Panels
- Install Solar Inverter
- Bond Solar Inverter and Solar Battery
- Connect the Inverter to the Consumer Unit
- Start and Test Solar Panels
