Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the act of examining an electrical appliance. This test is designed to ensure that your equipment is safe. Our engineers would test anything with a plug on it and provide you with a certificate that they tested it. PAT can also be a periodical process that will ensure that your appliances are safe and must be a part of any company's safety regulations.
PAT Testing differs from Electric Installation Condition Report, as PAT does not look at the wiring of a property fuse board.

Legal Requirements

As it is a legal requirement to maintain your appliances in check, PAT should be done on an approved schedule to ensure the maximum safety conditions of your portable electric equipment. PAT itself isn't required by law but is the best way to ensure compliance with various regulations such as:
● Health and Safety at Work;
● the safety at Work Act 1974;
● Regulations 1999,
● Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
The Health and Safety at Work act of 1974 put the responsibility of work safety to both employer and employee to ensure the safety of all personnel using a given work premise.
